'I lost £66,000 after St. James's Place botched my pension transfer' A St James's Place (SJP) client has been compensated by the firm after the value of his pension fell 20% since he switched from a defined benefit defined contribution scheme, The Telegraph reports. Hampshire's Darrell Sturmey, 59, transferred his life savings into a flexible drawdown scheme at the beginning of 2020 so he could use his nest egg to build a wildlife rescue sanctuary. Sturmey's pot lost 20% of its value in the first three months of the year as the coronavirus pandemic saw global stock markets drop. ...
