Each year - and in part inspired by suggestions from our readers over the course of the last 12 months - we name a shortlist of candidates, one of whom will be named Professional Adviser Personality of the Year.

The award recognises an individual who stands out for their contributions to the financial advice sector and, while it goes without saying advisers tend to be heavily represented in our list, where appropriate, we are delighted to include players from other parts of the financial services profession.
