Wrap platform Nucleus has launched a white paper ahead of the SM&CR deadline with help from Zero Support managing partner Phil Young.
The white paper will help advisers finalise their preparations ahead of the senior managers and certification regime (SM&CR) deadline on 9 December.
It explains what is changing as part of the new rules and what firms need to do to comply. The guide covers rules, statements of responsibility and annual "fit and proper" assessments.
Nucleus communications director Garry Mcluckie said: "The introduction of news regulatory rules is often far from smooth.
"We hope this white paper is helpful in providing clarity on the requirements under the SM&CR and what firms need to do to comply with these new rules."
Meanwhile, Young said the guide re-enforced some of the regulatory requirements advisers may have missed.
"This guide has been written with advisers and planners in mine," he said. "While the aims to change culture and behaviour appear optimistic, the underlying requirements aren't as daunting as some would have you believe."
