Seven businesses remain in the running for the prestigious Platform of the Year accolade at this year's Schroders UK Platform Awards after a tie in the preliminary scoring process saw the traditional six-strong shortlist upped by one.

FundsNetwork and Parmenion are the new faces compared with last year, while 2018 finalists AJ Bell, Seven Investment Management, Standard Life Wrap and True Potential return for another shot at the title alongside last year's winner Nucleus. The awards' organiser Clive Waller (pictured) said: "Our expert and independent judges have completed the detailed scoring of submissions for the Platform of the Year 2019 award.
