Charles Stanley investment manager Abby Johnson has been appointed as president of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) South Coast Committee.

Only the second woman to be elected president in the branch's 23 year history, she replaces JP Morgan Chase regulatory reporting officer Simon Roche, who held the position for the previous two years. Johnson, who is based in Charles Stanley's Dorchester office and specialises in portfolios for private clients, trusts, charities and self-invested personal pensions, has 25 years of experience in financial services.
