FCA extends sold out DB transfer workshops to March 2019

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has extended its UK-wide series of interactive workshops for those with defined benefit (DB) transfer permissions until March 2019.

The workshops have been ongoing since October. So far, there have been 12 sessions in locations such as Cheshire, Coventry, Leeds and Southampton. Each session can accommodate a representative from 60 firms, and so far each of the workshops has sold out. A further 16 sessions are set to take place over the rest of the year, and in January. For further 2019 sessions, the locations and number will be based upon demand. A spokesperson at the FCA told Professional Adviser the regulator is willing to return to locations it has already visited if there is sufficient demand for it to do so. ...
