SJP's investment director steps down from board after 27 years

St James's Place (SJP) managing director of investments David Lamb is to step down from the advice firm's board in early 2019.

He is to be replaced as director of investment management on 7 January next year by Robert Gardner, who joins from investment consultants Redington, which he co-founded. Gardner will also join the executive board of SJP while continuing a non-executive role at Redington. Lamb, who has been at the advice giant for some 27 years, will continue on a temporary basis as the firm's investment committee chair. SJP chair Sarah Bates said: "On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank David for his significant contribution to the success of St. James's Place for what will be 27 years' service...
