True Potential ends SEI link-up to go in-house for platform tech

True Potential is ditching technology provider SEI to go in-house for its platform "re-build", which it said would give the firm "full ownership and control".

The firm said it has had a dedicated team working behind the schemes for 18 months to design, build and test its new platform. It said the new platform direction "marks next stage in True Potential's long-term ambition and strategy of benefiting clients through a deeper ownership of the value chain". It also claimed SEI previously provided some core functionality to its platform that "does not directly impact on the adviser or end client experience".
