Vanguard UK Platform Awards: The full shortlists revealed

Professional Adviser can now reveal the full shortlists for the Vanguard UK Platform Awards 2026, in association with The Platform Association.

"We are now delighted to share the award shortlists following the first round of judging – the marking of submissions by each criterion," said UK Platform Awards chair Clive Waller. "Based on these marks, the judges establish a total mark of each entry. These marks are then totalled to establish relative scores.

"From there, we establish the shortlists.

"A word about our shortlists.

"Shortlists are produced for entrants, some anxious to know that well prepared submissions are still in the game. How does a submission qualify? In principle, it's simple; in practice, maybe not.

"Those on our shortlists are entrants that could be winners. We look for a spot where the total marks fall away and any hope of winning diminishes.

"The ideal number for a VUKPA shortlist is around five, but that doesn't always work. This year, some categories attracted high numbers of excellent entries, notably the Leading Innovation Award.

"The final judging sessions take place in early September, as do the interviews to decide the winners of the three adviser categories and the Platform of the Year, 2026."

The finalists for Platform of the Year, 2026 and adviser categories have already been published by VUKPA media partner PA.

The awards will be presented at the gala dinner which will be held on 22 September at the London Hilton on Park Lane. Once again, we will celebrate the very best of platforms and technology in retail investment and financial planning.

Kate Silverton will host the event for the 17th year running.
