Richard Freeman to retire from OMW

Old Mutual Wealth (OMW) chief distribution director, and former chief executive of its adviser firm Intrinsic, Richard Freeman is to retire from the business at the end of June 2018.

Freeman (pictured), who started working in the industry as a financial adviser in 1989 and was a founding director of Intrinsic in 2005, announced he was stepping down from his role at the adviser network in November 2015. As chief executive, he led the acquisition by OMW in July 2014. As part of the OMW executive committee, he has supported the firm's preparations for its forthcoming managed separation from Old Mutual and proposed listing on the London and Johannesburg stock exchanges.
