New Aviva platform to go live 'soon' after weekend of data migration

Aviva's new FNZ-powered adviser platform is set to go live "soon" after the life company completed the last leg of its re-platforming project - the data migration - over the weekend, it has said.

Aviva had planned to launch the new platform today, 22 January, but it is not clear whether it will complete its switch from Bravura to FNZ technology today. This final part of re-platforming - the mass data migration - has been described as the "live ammunition stage" and "squeaky bum time" of the technology-switching process due to its uncertain nature. Market commentators say it is more important to complete the project smoothly than rush to meet self-imposed deadlines.
