State Street Global Advisors takes minority stake in PensionBee

Investment manager State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) has taken a minority stake in online pension consolidation business PensionBee.

The financing will be used to growth PensionBee's direct-to-consumer market in the UK. SSGA will also take a seat on the financial technology start-up's board. The pension consolidation platform said it would also expand its white-label product to offer its services to bank and life companies. It currently has partnerships with fellow fintech company Revolut and The Telegraph.
