Active funds come out top in Fundscape performance experiment

Royal London Sustainable World fund tops table

Active funds from Royal London and Architas, as well as 'control' active funds, have topped the six month performance chart in Fundscape's 'The Great British Wealth Off' challenge.

On £300 invested at the experiment's launch in February, Royal London's active Sustainable World fund led the chart, having seen 10% growth in the half-year period, bringing the value of the investment up to £330. The control active fund, constructed by GBi² managing director Graham Bentley, came second after growing 7% to £321, followed by Architas' MA Active Progressive fund, which grew 6% to £318. However, the active MI Hawksmoor Vanbrugh fund diverged from this trend, slipping to second to last place in the table after it experienced a mere 4% growth, bringing the value up to £313...
