Graham Bentley questions independence of certain 'best buy' lists

Graham Bentley has highlighted the "stark" and "interesting" differences between funds that can feature on D2C platforms' 'best buy' lists and some that can appear on researchers' lists paid for by investment houses.

The gbi2 managing director was commenting on a report co-authored by Fundscape and gbi2, which has analysed 48 ‘gatekeepers' across four categories of fund selector - adviser 'buy' lists, direct-to-consumer (D2C) platforms, rating agencies and discretionary fund managers.
