19-year-old youngest to receive financial planning diploma

Cara Gilbert has become the youngest person to complete the Personal Finance Society's (PFS) diploma in financial planning.

The Standard Life trainee from Ayrshire achieved the qualification while working full-time at the firm's head-office in Edinburgh over the last two years, and is well on her way to becoming a fully-qualified Chartered Financial Planner. She works in the firm's pension & savings business as part of the technical consulting team, which provides support for financial advisers around the country on complex technical pension and tax enquiries.
