Brown Shipley acquires Manchester-based The Roberts Partnership

Part of strategy to enhance regional presence

Brown Shipley is to acquire The Roberts Partnership, a Manchester-based financial planning and wealth management business with seven advisers and £450m funds under management. The cost of the acquisition remains undisclosed.

Upon completion of the acquisition on 1 November 2016, The Roberts Partnership will become a subsidiary of Brown Shipley and will ultimately join its Manchester office based in Spinningfields, Hardman Street. Brown Shipley chief executive officer Ian Sackfield (pictured) said the acquisition was part of the company's strategy to enhance its regional presence as well as expand upon its wealth planning services.
