Economic secretary to speak at APFA annual dinner

Economic secretary to the Treasury Simon Kirby will be the keynote speaker at the Association of Professional Financial Advisers' (APFA) annual dinner, the body has announced.

APFA director general Chris Hannant (pictured) said he was "absolutely delighted" Kirby would speak at the dinner - noting it would be the evening before the Chancellor announces his Autumn Statement. He said: "At a time when it is more important than ever that people can access professional financial help when planning for their financial future, I particularly welcome the opportunity to hear the minister speak about how government, regulators and the advice community can work together to make this happen."
