CISI chief executive Simon Culhane has confirmed there are no specific plans to change the 'IFP' brand name under the CISI.

Culhane (pictured) explained that, in spite of the agreement between the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (CISI) and Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) to keep the IFP brand name for three years after last year's merger between the two bodies, the decision if or when to change the name would depend on the market and the thoughts of its members.  Speaking during a keynote Q&A session at the CISI Financial Planning Annual Conference, he said: "We will see how the market takes it, how you [the members] feel as well - there's not a plan in that.
