Defaqto has published an update of its CPD-accredited 'Professionals' guide to drawdown', an independent guide offering facts and tips on advising on defined contribution pension schemes, including the tax-planning opportunities available to clients in search of income in retirement.
The annual guide aims to cover "need-to-know" information for advisers and paraplanners, such as recent legislation changes and what to expect in 2017; risks to consider with clients, including longevity and inflation; and ways to evidence income suitability and sustainability. There is also an explanation of how pension savings can be used to benefit future generations.
