CII promotes Sian Fisher to chief executive

Scott will retire in March

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has appointed Sian Fisher as the successor of outgoing chief executive Sandy Scott.

Fisher, who previously acted as CII vice president and already sits on the organisation's board, will take up her role in February when Scott (pictured) retires. The CII is home to adviser body the Professional Finance Society and as such issues accreditations for the society's members. Fisher previously held senior roles at various insurance institutions, including a Lloyd's Syndicate and a UK-based as well international insurer.
