Taxpayers, the state and retirees have an uncertain future because of the ‘freedom and choice' reforms introduced in April, according to research.

The study, published by the Social Market Foundation (SMF), finds there are serious long-term risks if an early warning system is not developed to assess the risk individual savers face.
