Advisers align with accountants as tax planning demand rises - research

The majority of advisers believe closer collaboration with accountants could lead to increased tax planning business post-pensions freedom, according to Prudential research.

More than two-thirds of advisers told the provider working more closely with accountants would help them establish business with big companies and individual directors. Almost half of them believed working with accountants would help them target small and medium size businesses. The study showed advisers placed greater importance on tax planning following the government's pension reforms, Prudential said. It interviewed 120 IFAs online at the end of August.
