Aegon UK MD exits for America

Aegon UK managing director David Macmillan is leaving the role and the country to take up a promotion with the group's US business.

He will take over as chief customer experience officer of Transamerica in the summer, based across the Atlantic. "The new role is all about helping the company to transform the experience delivered to its 22m customers," said a spokesperson. A replacement for Macmillan, who is also chief marketing officer, will be announced in due course, he added. Before joining Aegon, Macmillan has previously held the role of chief executive of Invocas group, a debt solutions and insolvency services business, and prior to that the same position at Barrie & Hibbert, a financial services consultancy.
