Partnership: Guidance guarantee will spark simplified advice developments

A focused advice market can and will develop off the back of the government mandated guidance guarantee, delegates at the Personal Finance Society (PFS) Conference heard.

Partnership chief executive Steve Groves said focused, or simplified, advice will be a key development from the pension freedoms announced in the 2014 Budget. He said both providers and advisers needed to adapt to the new pensions environment, which comes into effect in April next year, and it was an opportunity for both parts of the industry.
