PFS names IFA firm MD David Thomas as president

The Personal Finance Society (PFS) has named the managing director of Chartered IFA Chadney Bulgin David Thomas as its president for 2014/15.

The announcement was made at the society's annual general meeting on 15 September. He succeeds retiring president, David Ingram, who has completed his 12 months in office. Thomas has more than 30 years' experience in financial services, having begun his career with Lloyds Bank, before joining Bradford & Bingley Building Society during its growth years. He went on to be appointed general manager of Mortgage Systems Limited in 1987 before establishing the Chartered Hampshire-based Chadney Bulgin in 1993, where he is now joint managing partner.
