Schroders: We will hard-close more UK equity funds

Schroders is set to hard-close a number of its most popular UK equity funds in the coming months, the group has said.

The recently acquired Cazenove business has already moved to limit flows into Julie Dean's UK Opportunities and offshore UK Equity fund as assets in the strategy approached £2.5bn. As IFAonline sister title Investment Week reported last year, Andy Brough's £1.6bn Schroder UK Mid 250 fund is also understood to be approaching capacity. The group is now considering hard-closing more UK equity products following the action it took on Paul Marriage's funds last year.
