Professional advisers raise £8,000 for the Stroke Association

Readers of Professional Adviser and IFAonline.co.uk have helped raise more than £8,000 for the Stroke Association, a charity that is supporting Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) chief executive Nick Cann in his recovery from a stroke.

Advisers and providers raised the impressive total in a number of ways, including by text-voting for their favourite candidate in the Personality of the Year category at last month's Professional Adviser Awards. Additionally, attendees took part in a silent auction on the evening of the awards, and also generously dipped into their pockets to donate cash and cheques.
