Claims firm launches adviser 'watchlist'

Advisers accused by clients of mis-selling investments face being named on a ‘watchlist' launched today by a claims management firm.

Rebus group has created the Rebus Adviser Watch List, which it said is a look-up tool for investors who have either invested in complex schemes or who may be considering investing in such schemes, to check whether their advisers have previously been found by the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) or the Courts to have mis-sold sthem. It will also name those firms which are being investigated by Rebus on instruction by its clients in connection with possible poor advice and mis-selling.
