The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has confirmed it is investigating firms in relation to trading on the foreign exchange market.
The regulator said the process was at an early stage and involved a number of firms, some of which may face enforcement action as a result of the investigation. It said in a statement it was working alongside other agencies to uncover failings in the sector. The FCA said: "We can confirm that we are conducting investigations alongside several other agencies into a number of firms relating to trading on the foreign exchange (forex) market.
