Canada Life Inv hires Nomura manager for UK equity desk

Canada Life Investments has hired Nigel Kennett from Nomura International as senior fund manager on the UK equities desk.

Initially, Kennett will co-manage a number of core UK equity funds alongside Dan Monks and provide extra resource to the rest of the equity team, reporting to Craig Rippe, head of UK equities. At Nomura, Kennett managed a £160m equity long/short strategy. He has 23 years of investment experience, having previously worked at Gartmore and Royal & Sun Alliance Investment Management.
