Four arrested in FCA insider dealing investigation

Four people have been arrested this morning following house searches carried out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Metropolitan Police in west London.

Three men aged 29, 51, and 56, and one woman aged 25, are currently in custody to be questioned in connection with an investigation in to insider dealing and market abuse. The FCA said it could not release further details at present and those arrested had not been charged. However, the regulator said the arrests were not linked to any other ongoing insider dealing investigation. Insider dealing is a criminal offence that is punishable by a fine or up to seven years imprisonment.
