APFA appoints Hannant director general

The Association of Professional Financial Advisers (APFA) has appointed Chris Hannant as its new director general.

Hannant, who is currently policy director at the organisation and will start in his new role with immediate effect, joined APFA in January last year. He has since overseen internal changes including the re-brand from the Association of Independent Financial Advisers and led APFA's engagement with the regulator through the implementation of the Retail Distribution Review and the transition to the Financial Conduct Authority.
