Scot Wids names Dijsktra head of intermediary protection

Scottish Widows has appointed Esther Dijsktra as head of intermediary protection propositions to guide the firm's launch into the protection market.

Dijsktra will head the development of Scottish Widow's proposition, which is scheduled to conclude by the end of next year. She will be supported by Alun Beynon, who has previously led a study into the feasibility of Scottish Widow's entry into the market. The appointment signals a more determined effort by Scottish Widows to build up business in intermediary protection, plans of which the firm first announced in 2012.
