PICA appoints The Annuity Exchange to run OMO directory

The Pension Income Choice Association (PICA) has appointed The Annuity Exchange to build a new directory of retirement income intermediaries.

The tool will help consumers looking to shop around for an annuity to connect with a regulated financial intermediary. PICA chairman Tom McPhail [pictured] said: "The appointment of The Annuity Exchange follows a comprehensive tender process and now means we are able to move forward toward launching the directory to investors in the near future." The directory will include IFAS, restricted advisers, single tie deals and providers who distribute directly to consumers. It will be free to use and free for intermediaries to appear in.
