Newton reshuffles income team

James Harries has handed over lead management of the offshore £2.8bn BNY Mellon Global Equity Higher Income fund to Nick Clay in a reshuffle of the firm's income team.

Clay will also become co-manager of the onshore £2.8bn Newton Global Higher Income fund. Harries will remain co-manager on the BNY Mellon Global Equity Higher Income fund and lead manager on the Newton Global Higher Income fund. "This continues the process of ensuring the right level of resource is given to the global income team," said a spokesperson for Newton. "Investors in the fund will continue to benefit from the input and investment expertise of James Harries as alternate manager.
