Provider apologises for slow underwriting speeds

The new managing director of Bright Grey and Scottish Provident has admitted the provider has "taken its eyes off the ball" with underwriting speeds.

In a two-minute video promise to advisers, Roger Edwards said it was not as fast as it should be and said the area would be addressed as soon as possible. He added that advisers could expect more digital content from the provider in the form of podcasts, videos and webinars. "My commitment as managing director is to continue to give you great marketing support," Edwards said.
