Jones Sheridan continues on acquisition trail

Crewe-based adviser Jones Sheridan Financial Consulting has acquired IFA firm Brown & Corbishley Financial Services, as part of a drive to take over four IFA businesses in the run-up to the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).

The acquisition will boost funds under advice (FUA) by £12m to about £170m, and adds a further 500 clients to Jones Sheridan's client bank. It follows the purchase of Warrington-based K F Garner Financial Consulting in January, which brought £12m FUA and 400 clients to the business. Managing director David Williams said Jones Sheridan was focusing on acquiring smaller IFA firms.
