Aviva to sell protection plans via Tesco Bank

Insurer Aviva's core protection products are to be made available to Tesco Bank customers after the companies agreed a five-year deal.

The agreement, which will begin later this year, will cover the sale of Aviva's life insurance and critical illness products. They will be available online via Tesco Bank or over the telephone, while information will also be available in Tesco supermarkets. Tesco customers will be able to choose simplified life insurance, over 50s life insurance and life insurance with critical illness cover.
