The Mixed Investment 20-60% Shares sector continued to prove popular with investors in May, figures show.

The high-flying sector accounted for 49% of all net sales on the Cofunds platform, boasting five funds in the top 20. Strategic Bond, meanwhile, remained the second most popular sector on Cofunds, accounting for 22% of net sales. Richard Woolnough's M&G Optimal Income fund was the strongest fund in the sector, securing top spot in the best-selling fund chart. Corporate Bond, however, dropped back in May with only 5% of net sales compared to a 9% year to date (YTD) average.
