JPM's Berens becomes head of UK retail after restructure

J.P. Morgan's head of intermediary sales, Jasper Berens, has been appointed head of UK retail in a restructure of the group's retail arm.

In his new role, Berens (pictured) will report to global head of retail, George Gatch. He will retain his responsibilities as head of intermediary sales for the time being. Berens has taken on the new role with immediate effect. The move comes after Jamie Broderick, head of European sales, revealed earlier this month he will be leaving at the end of the year. Gatch's position as global head of retail is also a newly created position. He was previously CEO of JPM's Americas division. Meanwhile Mike Parsons remains head of UK retail sales.
