Eurozone resolution should boost silver

Silver ETCs are gaining interest and the metal could perform well as economic factors boost its growth, according to ETF Securities.

Gold has been the commodity of choice this year as uncertainty over the Eurozone debt problems and global growth has seen investors seek a safe-haven. In the week ending 13 October, ETF Securities saw flows of $150mn into its gold ETCs but investor sentiment is starting to shift and silver is seeing interest. "Last week sentiment turned more to silver in terms of the precious metals sector ETC flows as investors became a bit more positive about a solution to the debt crisis and growth more generally," says Martin Arnold, senior analyst at ETF Securities.
