Nasdaq and PC Bond launch US bond indices

Nasdaq OMX and PC Bond, a provider of Canadian fixed income benchmarks, have joined forces to create a family of US Treasury indices.

The RBC Insight Total Return US Treasury Indexes family comprises 22 indices, which - unlike existing bond indices - rebalance on a daily basis. This feature "gives investors access to more information more frequently," says John Jacobs, executive vice president, Nasdaq OMX Global Index Group. "This enables investors to make better informed investment decisions. Tracking errors can be reduced when rebalancing portfolios.
