FSCS scammers hit Keydata victims in latest sting

Keydata victims awaiting compensation have become the latest targets of bogus callers who claim to be from the FSCS.

Investors in Keydata-backer Lifemark, some of whom are in the process of claiming redress from the Scheme, have received telephone calls asking for bank account details so their compensation can be paid. Peter Hilton, who heads up the Keydata Victims support group, emailed a warning to investors last night after he was contacted by concerned members. "Do not provide such details over the telephone, ever. Your compensation will come in a letter which will include a personal cheque.
