IFP promotes Courtenay as remit widens

Lucy Courtenay, director of education at the IFP, has been promoted to qualifications director as the professional body extends its reach into the examinations arena.

Former Clerical Medical financial planning head Sue Leech has also joined as education director in a newly-created role focusing on CPD and RDR gap filling. IFP chief executive Nick Cann (pictured) says the moves reflect the body's desire to separate its qualification and assessments offering from its training and learning services. Courtenay will head up the IFP's work on securing awarding status from Ofqual and working with universities on various financial planning initiatives.
