The Protection Review is set to launch a national independent protection training academy in conjunction with the Personal Finance Society (PFS).
Trial training sessions for advisers will begin in Q1 next year as part of a campaign to improve knowledge and understanding of the protection industry. Training will cover aspects of the market including products, underwriting, claims, regulation, sales and technology and current or future protection qualifications. It will be co-funded by insurers and reinsurers and will be open to intermediaries, paraplanners and life office staff as well as the media.
