Fidelity promotes Peter Hicks to UK equities product director

Peter Hicks, head of UK retail sales at Fidelity International, has been promoted to product director, UK equities, effective from 1 August.

Hicks will work alongside Fidelity's team of UK equity fund managers and carry the responsibility for boosting sales and assets in the firm's UK equities range. Ben Waterhouse, currently head of sales for mutual funds at Legal & General Investment Management and set to join Fidelity as head of UK wholesale sales in August, will now also assume Hicks's role. In a further move, Julian Webb, head of UK defined contribution business, will assume overall responsibility for FundsNetwork sales. Hicks says: "I am absolutely thrilled.
