Chris Cummings quits AIFA

AIFA director general Chris Cummings is to leave the organisation in August to become CEO of the City of London's new promotional body.

Cummings, appointed as director general in June 2005, is set to join TheCityUK, which will promote the UK's financial and related professional services industry. He has been at the forefront of recent industry developments, including the RDR, and also leaves his role as director general of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB).
