FSA appoints former Pru director

The FSA has appointed Tom Boardman as senior adviser on life insurance.

Boardman has more than 35 years experience in the financial services sector, most recently as director of retirement strategy and innovation at Prudential. He also established the bancassurance operation at Nationwide Building Society, and has provided consultancy to a number of financial services businesses. He will join an FSA team created to provide experience on regulatory, market and consumer matters. The regulator says its senior advisers are a core part of its delivery of intensive supervision.
