Election result: Newspapers take 'partisan' approach

The morning newspapers predictably are very partisan in their interpretation of the results of the election - long before it is actually known.

With a final deadline of 3am all of them are left to use the exit polls as the basis for their headlines with the Labour supporting Daily Mirror hanging on to the fact that Gordon Brown might still be able to form a Government. It has its ‘swingeometer' featuring the headlines of the leaders with ‘Britain Saved' above Brown's head and ‘Britain Doomed' above Cameron's head. Nothing so subtle from the Daily Express which says;'Brown is on the way out' which is no doubt the headline its readers were hoping for, alongside a story on page 2 which says walking 1000 paces a day reduces the r...
