The ABI has hastened the next stage of industry talks on a national protection scheme as it wants to help shape the new Government's protection strategy.
Industry work groups have been set-up to whittle down proposed ways to ease the administrative burden of life cover on death, make society more 'resilient' to risk, and increase consumer engagement with the protection market. This last group will be spearheaded by LifeSearch's Tom Baigrie who gained support, but not funding, last year for a Consumer Protection and Insurance Engagement Campaign (CPIEC).
